Greenfield Soil Declaration

The NIEAs Guidance on the regulation of Greenfield soil in construction and Development makes it clear when NIEA will not regard clean, greenfield soil as waste and the waste management controls will not be applied.Demonstration of Compliance: You should complete the declaration form in full and submit it to NIEA prior to the movement of any soil. No formal response will be given by NIEA but you should retain the paperwork for at least two years as it may be audited by NIEA to ensure full compliance.

You will need to provide copies of the following:

• Source site plan or map
• Destination site plan or map

This can be provided via an upload or by using the online map feature in the application.
